I was thinking today about fatal flaws. Particularly in the literary sense. My mind ran from Hamlet to Captain Ahab and then landed on Darth Vader.

Up until a few years back when they released Episode I: The Phantom Menace, we'd say Vader's fatal flaw was that he was evil, and served an evil master. But that's not what came into my mind. I ( Read more... )
